Hi I'm Julz!

When the world shut down in 2020, like everyone else, I needed hobbies to do at home. I started making things purely to keep my hands busy, to fill the unexpected quiet with a little creative noise. What began as a simple, mindful exercise quickly escalated.

Suddenly, every flat surface in my house was covered in crochet plushies. My friends were already drowning in my 'gifts,' and my Husband gently suggested that if I made one more crochet plushies, he might have to move out!

The honest truth is, the overflow of creations forced my hand. I realized these little pieces of beauty, born out* of* necessity and quiet introspection, were too special to keep hidden. And so, Memento Mori by Julz was born—a little piece of unexpected beauty from a very strange time.
